Which data we process

Price alerts: when you set up an alert, we store your email address, the product and the price you want, only to notify you when it is reached. You can stop at any time with the unsubscribe link in each of those emails. So that you can manage your alerts without a password, we send a single-use link to the same address.

IP address: we use it to limit the number of requests per visitor and to prevent abuse. It is also logged when you click a store link, so that we can check the commissions stores report to us. We do not send it to the store or to the affiliate network.

Favorites and saved searches: they are stored in your own browser. If you have an account, they are also stored there so you have them on all your devices.

User account: if you create an account, we store your email address, the date you signed up and last signed in, your favorites and your saved searches with their notifications. We do not store a password, name or photo. If you sign in with Google, Google only sends us your verified email address and an identifier for your Google account. We use this information only to run your account.

Categories of personal information

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, always directly from you: identifiers (your email address, your IP address and, if you sign in with Google, an identifier for your Google account) and internet activity (the products you save, the alerts you set, the store links you click and, only if you accept analytics cookies, how you use the site). We use them only for the purposes described above. We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use your information to infer characteristics about you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which parts of the website are useful. The Google script is only loaded once you agree: if you do not, not a single request goes to Google and no analytics cookie is set.

Who receives it

We do not sell personal information. The service providers needed to run the site process it only on our behalf and under contract: hosting and infrastructure with Google Cloud (in the Netherlands), delivery and protection with Cloudflare, and email sending with Brevo. Your information is therefore stored outside the United States, mainly in the European Union.

Links to stores and affiliate networks

When you click a link to a store, it goes through our /go/ address and on to the store, sometimes via an affiliate network such as Awin. We record that click (which offer, which store and when) to count visits and check commissions, with no information that could identify you beyond the IP address described above. We do not send your name, your email address or any other information about you to the network or the store. Once you are on their site, the affiliate network and the store may use their own cookies to know that the purchase came from here. That is their decision, as the parties responsible for it, and it is governed by their own privacy policy, which in Awin's case is published at awin.com.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done either in the last 12 months. The site shows no advertising. When you click through to a store, the link tells the store or its affiliate network that the visit came from us, so that it can pay us a commission, but we do not send them your email address, your IP address or any other personal information. Because there is nothing to opt out of, there is no separate opt-out link. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, you are already covered.

How long we keep data

Alert data is kept while the alert is active and deleted when you unsubscribe. Management links expire after a few minutes. Technical logs with IP addresses are kept for as long as needed to control abuse and verify commissions.

Account data is kept for as long as you keep the account. If you delete it, your email address, the link to Google and all open sessions are removed right away. What remains (the dates and the removed favorites and searches) is no longer linked to you or to any data that could identify you, and is only kept for statistics.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to tell you which personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it or to delete it, by writing to the address below. We answer within 45 days, free of charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Residents of California have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and residents of other states have them under their own consumer privacy laws. You can also ask through an authorized agent. To protect your information, we may need to confirm that the request comes from you, normally by replying from the email address we hold.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.
