Plug-in solar batteries
California: plug-in solar is legal from January 1, 2027 (SB 868, signed on September 30, 2026). The law covers systems up to 1,200 W with UL certification, and the first certified models are expected in mid-2027. Until then, a kit bought today still needs your utility's approval.
