Which data we process

Price alerts: when you set up an alert, we store your email address, the product and the price you want, only to notify you when it is reached. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw with the unsubscribe link in each of those emails. So that you can manage your alerts without a password, we send a single-use link to the same address.

IP address: we use it to limit the number of requests per visitor and to prevent abuse. It is also logged when you click an affiliate link. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the service and being able to verify commissions.

Favourites and saved searches: they are stored in your own browser. If you have an account, they are also stored there so you have them on all your devices.

User account: if you create an account, we store your email address, the date you signed up and last signed in, your favourites and your saved searches with their notifications. We do not store a password, name or photo. If you sign in with Google, Google only sends us your verified email address and an identifier for your Google account. The legal basis is providing the service you ask for when you create the account.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which parts of the website are useful. The Google script is only loaded once you agree: if you do not, not a single request goes to Google and no analytics cookie is set.

Recipients

We do not sell or pass on personal data. The service providers needed to run the site process it on our behalf: hosting and infrastructure with Google Cloud (Netherlands), delivery and protection with Cloudflare, and email sending with Brevo. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.

Links to stores and affiliate networks

When you click a link to a store, it goes through our /go/ address and on to the store, sometimes via an affiliate network such as Awin. We record that click (which offer, which store and when) to count visits and check commissions, with no information that could identify you beyond the IP address described above. We do not send your name, your email address or any other information about you to the network or the store. Once you are on their site, the affiliate network and the store may use their own cookies to know that the purchase came from here. That is their decision, as the parties responsible for it, and it is governed by their own privacy policy, which in Awin's case is published at awin.com.

How long we keep data

Alert data is kept while the alert is active and deleted when you unsubscribe. Management links expire after a few minutes. Technical logs with IP addresses are kept for as long as needed to control abuse and verify commissions.

Account data is kept for as long as you keep the account. If you delete it, your email address, the link to Google and all open sessions are removed straight away. What remains (the dates and the removed favourites and searches) is no longer linked to you or to any data that could identify you, and is only kept for statistics.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability by writing to the contact address in the legal notice. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office).
